ALT’s responsibles were invited (23 february) to participate in a working day related with the local VideoGame industry. The aim was to debate about the actual situation, trying to improve the existing facilites as well as discuss possible short-term resources. The ALT point of view was focused in the necessary sinergies among the audiovisual production (films, tvshows …) and the Game industry, because a lot of times, both of them have similar needs. The purpose was to share resources, facilites and professionals, saving money and improving the results. The ALT and also the Parc Audiovisual could be a valuable point of encounter and exchange. This working day takes part of the new cultural plan that The Government of Catalonia launched through the Department of Culture and which aims to give the maximum centrality of culture in the catalan society. Therefore – with the aim of establishing a global framework for action, dialogue and cooperation among institutions- , the Department has invited representatives of industry in order to contribute to the development of this plan.

It’s a wonderful news, not only for the TVC (Television of Catalonia) developers but also for the ALT team. In these times, when the TV screen usually looks like a trash, a social Docusoap, related with topics of people’s real life – as children’s education – is much more than a challenge. But its succes is a victory for all the people who believes in a good quality television. We encourage and thank all the professionals of the New Formats Department of TVC for their creativity, talent and bravery.
